Leo Hemond from Rhode Island
After seeing multiple doctors and hospitals many of them had turned him away since Leo was not being aggressive enough for their standards. Finally, an agency called Family Strong was able to help Leo. They had referred him to Boston Children's hospital where his parents were informed of seizure activity occurring in Leo's left mid-section of his brain. To treat these seizures and prevent Leo from the outbursts he used to have, currently Leo has intensive behavior therapy from Gateways 3-5 days a week. All the therapies Leo is participating in are very expensive and time consuming. For a single parent of 2 kids, the cost of the therapy is overwhelming and financial help was necessary to get Leo the best treatment.
