The ceremony was opened by the consul Ewa Jerzykowska, who has been running with us for the second year. This year, for the fifth time, we have been helping children who are born with an unfortunate fate. On a beautiful, sunny day, many participants gathered both the youngest ones and the older ones. A total of almost 200 people. The youngest participants were 4 years old and the oldest lady in the run 5 K Nike Nizelle 79 years old! As you can see, the age didn't matter, it was a worthy cause - a run for 4-Year-old Victoria Kłosek from Pennsylvania with a congenital heart failure.

Thanks to the participants of this run we were able to collect donations reaching a total of $4,635 in order to help cover the Medical bills.

The winners of this year’s 5K run in the category of men are:

• 3rd place Tomasz Wawrzyniak

In the women's category:

• 1st place, Justyna Dudko
• 2nd place Marta Wawrzusiak
• 3rd place Magdalena Sidor

Monetary prizes were awarded by Children's smile foundation and handed out by our President Beata Klar-Jakubowski and Vice President Mariusz Sniarowski, Consul Ewa Jerzykowska awarded the medals, the Director of the foundation Karol Liszewski gave the winners the trophies. Joanna Mrzyk presented the awards that were donated to the cause by Małgorzata Leniartek the Manager of the PSFCU Maspeth Branch.

All participants of the 1 K run were awarded with medals and the best received prizes awarded by the PSFCU branch in Maspeth and gifts from the Markowa pharmacy-in the age group of 4-8 years for

• 2nd place Karolina Wolski
• 3rd place Filip Rząca.

In the age group of 9-12 years old

• 1st place David Zareba
• 2nd place Julia Bajor
• 3rd place Aleksandra Weglarz
