Zuzanna Kuczynska, has been suffering from spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a neuromuscular disease with a genetic basis, for the past 21 months.
The SMA causes her muscles to weaken and gradually lose strength. The cost of the medicine she requires is huge, especially for her father who is the sole breadwinner of their family of four. Zuzanna is in constant need of rehabilitation and needs to purchase a TheraTogs suit, a verticalizer, an appropriate wheelchair and in the future orthoses.
